This biography of a living person needs additional citations for verification. Jul 01, adri patamoma rated it it was amazing. Rain started going to barrry gym and one thing leads to another and he “gets” his man. Not as good as the first in the series which I thought was excellent. I could accurately be labeled a ‘gorehound’ when it comes to movies.
Kanesaki tells Rain about a program, Crepuscular. Give me viscera and splatter realized through practical effects, and I will crow with happiness. This is good espionage fiction that serves up healthy examples of the genre’s attractions. Once again, the nightscape of Tokyo is painted in beautifully dark tones, scored to the live jazz of the clubs where Rain drinks from a menu of expensive single malt whiskeys.
Worst of all, Rain dispatches people whom he knows not at all. I love the John Rain character, a half American half Japanese killer for hire disillusioned by his time in both cultures. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read.

I have read gobs of scenes in which someone puts the beat down on another person, sometimes to fatal effect. The publisher backed at least 5 John Rain books for publication, and this one has a high enough Goodreads rating that I feel like I missed something.

If not, I still eisller these stories are multi-layered enough to fulfil most tastes. All right, so I appear to be eis,er for a specific character: Its still not a book for everybody. John Rain 9 books. A convoluted plot, with the intrigue and complexity created by the actions of the various law enforcement agencies and underworld characters may or may not be your thing.

I think I will continue to read this series to the end eissler I like this series. I like this character and this is the only set of books I have read about Japan.

The plot is tangled up in other plots, and the nature of the enemy is unclear throughout. While eusler could read this as a standalone, I would recommend reading the first in the series, Rain Fallfor a better grounding in the back story of some of the characters. Yukiko is way, way, way out of Harry’s league. Please help eislet adding reliable sources.
I had this marked as having read it once before. This is a really great read. How to read Jeffery Deaver series? It gets tiresome and annoying fast. Harry has a girlfriend.
At least it sounds authentic. Walt Longmire Books in Order: Great setup for next book in series. I read all the Rain books under their original titles and didn’t realize I was re-reading for a while. Along the way, people in his life are affected by his work in a way that causes Hafd a lot of internal struggle, so we watch John long for a normal life, normal love, normal day, but it’s not so easy for John. I liked the scenarios and Rain himself better in this one.
John Constantine Reading Order: I enjoy psychological harx and I appreciate that Rain employs them to full effect. People seem to find that sense comforting. The New York Times. This was the book through which I discovered this great thriller series years ago, so I really enjoyed reading it again.
