Usually I gag at heroine’s decribed that way, but Cymbra was a fun, sometimes quirky heroine with a big heart for others. I did really like the way it was written. I loved the development of the romance between the two characters. I loathed this book. Hawke was difficult in the beginning but he is definitely shaping up to be a great man as it is being revealed bit im bit. The dialogue belieev them is good, has humor and serious all the same. The characters, the settings, puts a tiny piece of magic back into romance.

Nikisha Brown rated it it was amazing Jul 21, I was half afraid that the brutality would be believee watered down in favor of a sweet romance but I think the author did an excellent job of showing various Viking evils the motto could have been: Llitton characters are the main ones in Dream of Me but the foundation is set for Dragon Wolf’s brother and Hawk Cymbra’s Brother their stories and i’m so excited for these reluctant husbands to find wives Not a bad start to belueve Together these three men will strive to overcome centuries-old rivalries and hatred.
Hawk was a pretty flat guy; quite a cardboard person. What first struck me was the writing style. So much for dragging her naked and ravaged in chains through the streets, Wolf thought ruefully. So, I sat on my couch, watching the first snow of the year, eating a bowl of soup while reading about a Viking kidnapping a virgin. Promise Not to Tell.
And, like Cymbra, she will encounter opposition and women who wanted her man. His appreciation for Cambria’s plight is heartfelt. From the Paperback edition. Hawk is a very capable leader but without the stormy side that Wolf had which made him such a compelling Norseman.
She will say yes and agree but then just go out and do what needs to be done and suffer the consequences later. He is eager to meet his new bride that has been arranged because he does want peace between the Saxons and the Vikings.

In this sequel to Dream of MeJosie Litton pursues the romantic and political affiliations between the Saxons and the Norse at the end of the ninth century.
This story revitalized my love of Viking romance and Litton has one of the best writing when it comes to medieval romances. The action and the tension between the two slows quite a bit in places but still the story is charming and I can recommend it.
Their relationship is so much fun and boy full of quite a few misunderstandings but I loved that they always end up talking and working out their problems when they arise. Krysta is going to — wait for it — wait for it — disguise herself. They sounded way too modern in the way they spoke.
