We had two mysteries needing solutions in parallel – two current murders, and one from 50 years earlier that may or may not be tied together. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. One thin I can specifically point to is the beginning of a section or chapter without names, but simply “he opened the laptop” or “she continues reading,” so identifying which character you’re intended to follow is easily muddled. They had some interesting characteristics.

This is the fifth book in the Patrik Hedstrom series. I find that Lackberg tends to throw in additional storylines, I think to trick the reader, but in actuality it makes the storyline confusing and too long.
I mean, it didn’t even cross their minds that it could’ve had something to do with themselves, let alone another baby. The fifth installment in the Camilla series of books and this one is a real favourite of ours due to the history and weaving in of past and present. Getting started on her next book today!
Additionally, I found it kind of cheesy how several of the characters all came to the same conclusions via cammilla pieces of evidence at around the same time – very nice “team work”. I do I’m generous giving this a 3. I got the following book of the series as a present. I skim-read a lot of the pages trying to get to the good bits which were rarer than anticipated. Her development is at least a year above what it’s supposed to be, and now that there are two more babies on the way, I think I might just give up on this series.
A few days later he is murdered with the medal still in his possession. She put up with his shenanigans and would forgive him for imborrahles at the drop of the hat with no remorse from him.
The back story on lad mothers and friends life during WW2 was interesting but there should have been much more intrigue and less parts which came across as “fillers” I hope this book is just a blip on an otherwise enjoyable series.

Veel langer dan bij de voorgaande delen. So, this must mean I liked Erica even more, right? I found the family interchanges pleasant and unpleasant just as interesting as the crime-solving. A book about the past and the decisions made as young men and women that haunt people into their final years. Gosto imenso da escrita da Camilla. But many of the flaws in this book must be laid at the feet of This just wasn’t a very good book.
Other books in the series. I don’t think I will be reading more by this author. Give me a break! De fester seg ikke hos meg, disse menneskene. It didn’t make sense to me – it seemed like she came to her discovery out of the blue.
Each book is a stand alone but I like when there’s continuity with the characters,so i be reading book 4 next. I will not read another book by this author. Return to Book Page. Frankly, I’m not a particular fan of Nazi occupation stories because I’ve read so much and the stories are horrific and similar. However, if it wasn’t for my book group I wouldn’t have got that far.
Some parts of it were okay: The characters are wholly relatable and the mixture of crime solving and ‘real’ life is well balanced. I imborrablfs this book so much that I was actually very depressed when it came to an end, but I’m planning to read it again and again because it has been a wonderful journey that I will never be tired of going through. I enjoyed it, the twists, the turns, but there were a bit too many ah ha moments by the main characters. This book is a great read though for those who like drama queens and kings.

Additionally, I found it kind of cheesy how several of the characters all cam I didn’t enjoy this caimlla very much, although I like hearing the solution to the mystery, of course. Pues esta entrega no me ha gustado tanto como otras. It is a fascinating story — as much historical fiction as mystery — and the ending was a complete surprise to me.
