A must-read for classic animation fans, or anyone who grew up watching the classic Warner Brothers cartoons! He was a huge influence in the evolution of Bugs Bunny and Daffy.
I thought I was quite the Chuck Jones aficionado, but I learned quite a bit and laughed all the way. Honestly, what autobiography could be better than one that is also a flip book??? The only downside to reading this memoir written in is finding out what a total boys’ club the studio was, which shouldn’t have been a total surprise, given the time period and the fact that there were never any major female characters.

Now, while this book was one of the best I’ve read in recent memory and I would never refrain from recommending it, I would like to point out one major caveat.
It gives a brief look into Chuck Jones’ formative years, from which he manages to draw quite a few humorous anecdotes. And something about Tex Avery.
There is no way I could not like this book.
