A very easy read, neuroanaomy concepts explained in a qiurky manner, makes sure you never forget your basics. They provide far more detail than is necessary to approach clinical situations in neurology. PaperbackThird Edition97 pages.

Silly drawings and puns are added as they cite a study saying silly is easier to remember. The drawings and explanations related to the brainstem were particularly helpful, providing mnemonics after concepts were presented. I thing it’s a good entrance to go deeper in the anatomy of CNS. Fortunately, it is clinically unimportant to have a detailed understanding of the connections of the diencephalon and basal ganglia.

Clinically oriented questions and answers have also been included, not only for review, but to introduce more subtle information not included in the text. As a basis for neurology Clinjcal think it should be more detailed as I’ll need some other literature to cover the topics that this book skipped. Still not a bad book.

Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone – like me – who str This book lives up to its name! Although it’s supposed to be a side-kick, but this book was really “clinically” helpful. Better for the clinical years than the pre-clinical years, although I used it clinidal both.

Ok fine so this is more of a joke but it really is the only book that I’m currently reading or supposed to anyways. This isn’t exactly a book you read. Adianne rated it it was amazing Nov 23, I would recommend using it alongside an anatomy stephej book until you learn all of the structures that he referenced though. Might have made it better.
It also provides a rapid review for medical Boards and other exams which tend to emphasize clinically relevant aspects of neuro- anatomy.
neuuroanatomy It is unfortunate that this approach is not attempted more frequently in medical education. Smaller, clinically-oriented books must eliminate those aspects of the basic science which have little clinical bearing and emphasize those aspects vital to patient care.
