There’s lots of simulacrum and appropriation speak, and I feel like embedded in the text is a sort of cheerleading for the pictures artists and a lot of 80’s I would give this book less stars if I were rating it without any context. This text has moments of brilliance, but is largely overshadowed by excess bulk.
