The huge and immensely powerful bucqy that we see in the circus does not run away because the poor animal believes that he cannot do that. I closed my eyes, and I tried to imagine the small, newborn elephant, chained to the ground. I was most impressed by the elephant, who is – as I later discovered – the favourite animal of all children.
