Its like the scope of the history became too much for the plot. Else rated it it was ok.

It was like reading a gibbkns history lecture in places – sooooo much telling and not enough showing. He currently divides his time between fieldwork, England and Canada. Well, that’s pretty much how I felt reading this.
I think the story line was pretty good, and it was nice to read an adventure story without a lot of cussing and sex. Like the quote on the front says, it is a combination of Indiana Jones and Dan Brown.

Overall, interesting but not a must-read. It’s a fair bit of dialogue to read, story compressed in a very short time considering the diving and travelling involved, thought the time would have strestched out more.
His first novel, Atlantis, published in the UK in and the US in Septemberhas been published in 30 languages and is being made into a Lats miniseries; since then he has written five further novels, published in more than editions internationally. Want to Read saving…. The author, himself a marine archaeologist, draws on a lot of his own experiences, so the scenes of discovery gibins made to seem very real.
The end confrontation did not make sense. Long conversations got confusing to try and figure out davir was saying With this book, its the author that brings the story down.
